To help small businesses of offset the costs of ADA compliance and to encourage them to provide equal access for customers and employees, Congress approved the following tax incentive:<\/p>\n

Under IRC 44 the Disabled Access Credit (form 8826) is available to businesses that have 30 or fewer employees or total revenue of $1,000,000 or less.\u00a0 Businesses can receive an annual credit of up to $5,000 a year for hiring interpreters (along with other aids in removing barriers for the disabled.\u00a0 More details can be found at irs.gov).<\/p>\n
